Mock Magazine Advert

Within our pairs we had to create a magazine advert for an imagined band. We spent several lessons on this where we were put into pairs with the task of creating our own advert. I was partnered with Ben we had to think about several aspects for instance how we were going to photo shop the image in, what image we were going to use to match the name given to us. Most importantly the image behind the photo presenting the location because we needed the entire genre to all match to make the advert as realistic as possible to the artists we were given. Our genre was a mixed pop band. We decided to use an image of the group in the centre of the screen as then they were dominating the advert. We listed where the songs were going to be available to listen to and download. We also decided to include the title of the album to be called Candyfloss featuring bubblegum. To interlink both the colours and the attire of the band and title we decided on using bright bold fonts for the name of the band that stand out along side softer colours such as pastel blues and pinks to symbolise the bubblegum and candyfloss. However, in my actual magazine advert for my music video the photo shopping will need to be more carefully considered as parts of this mock advert looks a little rough round the edges on the picture.
